Baby Love Grow Pants Graduation Party 2012

I love freebies, when I saw Diapers Swap Programme is coming back again on 16/12/12. I faster marked down in my calendar - yes I'm going to queue to be a kiasu MM to swap diaper for my little JY.
Hubby laughed at me & saying me has become very kiasu & C9 lately, since this is my 2nd time for joining this diaper swap programme.  I brought twins along with me together for the programme. It was long queue on that day since we were late, luckily we still manage to change 1 pack of diapers for our little JY.

The other day I've registered for attending Baby Love Grow Pants Graduation Party 2012 at Megakidz, Mid Valley. It has been weeks, and I didn't received any sms or calls from them. Just when I thought it was all over, I got their call on 07/12/12 while we were at Big Bad Wolfs Book Exhibition, MIECC. Yes, we're all invited & I've told hubby that he needs to take advance leave for that party.

Finally, it was 29/12/12.
My twins wake up very early that day, as I told them if we were late, we won't be able to go to Midvalley. JY wakes up very early too, and I guess due to this he was a bit cranky in the party. We reached Midvalley by 9.45am, and registered by 9.55am. We were very lucky as we were very early. It was a long queue later on, and over crowded with lots of people.

JY was a bit cranky as he refused to wear the graduation cap during the photo taking session (which was part of the party costume). I guess the paper card was not very comfortable, that's why he refused to wear it. He refused to take part in the photo shooting session too. Hubby & I gave up, and we brought him out instead to join twins for the activities.

There wasn't many activities, as the hall is pretty small- over crowded with kids, babies & parents.
Twins enjoyed pretty much in the activities, especially the air bouncer castle, where twins were walking & bouncing here & there. JY too enjoyed much in this, and he got a small medal for taking the flags from the air bouncer. Couldn't snap much photos as too crowded, and very hard to take photos.

JY enjoying so much playing with EQ ^_^

JY looks so innocent ^_^

We didn't stay long in the party, as it was very hot & over crowded.
The food was very messy & it was out of control. Parents were rushing out for food, and due to limited space in the "refreshment" area, some parents were just sitting there for chit chatting instead of letting out the place out for those needy parents whom need to feed their kids & breastfeeding their babies.
After taking some quick refreshment, we went out for fresh air.
I glad the kids enjoyed much in the party, but definitely I won't bring them to Megakidz again for activities - the place is just too small & very stuffy in it.

Freebies from Baby Love
3 nice flash cards (Animals, Profession, Transportation) with nice stickers.

A nice height measurement poster & a pack of Bany Love Grow Pants ^_^

Part 2
We went for shopping at Midvalley later on, EQ followed my mom & brother back to Setia Alam.
We went browsing & surveying clothes for the kids.
JY was soo tired that he slept on hubby's shoulder while he was carrying him. So we decided to rest & have a short tea break at Pancake's House. I love the pancakes, yummy, price were reasonable, just that the service is pretty poor as they were lots of people in the restaurant.
I need to remind them 2x for my pancakes, and they didn't send us the mineral water, and overcharged us.

Photo Session
After recharge, another photos session ^_^

Going back to hometown & happy vacation at Penang

Due to long holidays, I suggested to hubby to go back to his hometown to visit his dad, and at the same time bringing the twins to Penang.
This round we didn't bring along BB JY as the previous trip, he has been very cranky and refused to be on food & drink. So, due to hot weather, we decided not to bring him along with us for this trip.

We reached Serdang, Kedah (hubby's hometown) at about 7pm.
We tapao 2 salted chicken from Ipoh for my FIL. This salted chicken is very famous in Ipoh. Every time when we happened to drop by at Ipoh, we'll sure to buy 2 chickens back, either to Kedah or back to KL. My twins can finished half of the chicken by their own, so you can imagine how delicious was it ^_^

The very famous salted chicken can be bought at :-
24, Jalan Theatre,
30300, Ipoh, Perak.
Tel : 05-254 2998
Aun Kheng Lim Salted Chicken

The next day we went to Batu Ferriggi & Teluk Bahang.
This was my first time here.
The beaches were nice and very clean.
This was taken at Teluk Bahang, nice isn't it?
Twins were playing sands & water with papa ^_^

See how excited is my twins playing sands? Hubby digs a big hole and both of them start playing the sands and throwing the sands to each other!

We stay a night at Golden Sands Resort , there was a promotion for Executive Suit at RM460++ / night. We decided to stay a night as the scenery was very nice, and at pool facility was very good.
My twins were with sparkling eyes when they saw the swimming pool & the white beaches.
They kept on shouting when I was queueing to check in at the registration counter.

The room was clean, although it was pretty small, if your were comparing the "price" with the room.
However, I like the sea view from our room, just nice with the bath tub.
My twins whom are still not satisfying after playing half of the day in the pool, insisted for a second round of water splashing in the hotel's room bath tub!

Twins posing in the hotel's room with their swimming suit, they kept shouting & requesting us to bring them to the swimming pool, and insisted to have a nice photo with their new swimming suit.
(Bought this online at reasonable price, the old one is a bit tight for KH, and he claiming that the swimming trunk is very cold for him, he requested for a suit instead ^_^)

I didn't snap any photos in the swimming pool, as I didn't bring my camera along, as I need to watch over twins while they were in the pool.
Karen, Edwin & their son - Ian came and join us in the pool.
(Karen was my landlord while I was renting a room with her at JB. Although I've moved back to KL, we still kept a close relationship with each other through chatting.)
Ian was 4 months elder than our BB JY.

The next day we wake up early for a splendid breakfast at the cafe.
We met Karen again & took a photo with her & Ian.

We finished our breakfast early & take a move to the beaches again.
Lots tourist were swimming there.
I didn't let twins to go for swimming, as I knew that they will not be willing to go back early, as we need to check out by 12 noon later.
Twins requested for sands playing again :-)

Overall, we all enjoyed our trip this round, and we'll be back again to Penang, and this round we'll bring along BB JY for a family trip.

Family Trip - GK Organic Farm

04/08/2012, 双宝幼儿园举办了Family Day - Trip to GK Organic Farm.

(幼儿园团的收费 : 小孩 (3-6 岁)- RM40, 大人 - RM50)

Program Itinerary

9.30am - Arrive at GK Organic Farm

9.45am - Briefing + Welcome fruit + Drink

10.15am - Guided farm tour - barefooted

- Planting activity

- Harvesting activity

11.15am - Fruit juice / enzyme drink + Enzyme Making Demo + Talk on organic environment

12.15am - Organic lunch - simple luncheon of 6 dishes & 3 drinks

- baked sweet potato, banana cake, vegetable of the day & dessert

1.30pm - Leaving GK Organic Farm by bus (with harvested plant)

Hectic & busy holidays

I've been really busy since last month. This is backdated postings for myself so that I can pen down some nice memories about our kids ^_^

19 May - 21 May 2012
Marked as important trip for our family  - we brought twins to Penang for a short holiday. (Hubby needs to attend his friend's wedding dinner) We didn't bring JY alone as we are just unable to handle 3 kids by ourselves :-(
Recall back the trip, it wasn't easy at all. Twins have been coughing badly the week before & ended me myself also down with fever. On the day we are leaving to Penang, papa send us to clinic for medical treatment just to make sure everyone is OK for the trip. (If you asked me, I wouldn't go because I'm too exhausted due to my sickness)

We reached Penang island at 6.30pm -  a bit late & behind our initial schedule. Lost our way to find our hotel. Luckily we manage to meet up with hubby's cousin sister & they lead us to check in to our hotel & head for our dinner.

The 1926 Heritage Hotel was clean & comfortable for staying, to me but not for hubby. Hubby claimed that the facility were too old & not standard. Well, I guess the price was within our budget as we were only planning for a night stay. The Rasa Sayang Hotel was at RM570 ++ per night, which I think was too much for us.

Twin's eye were sparkling when they saw swimming pool in the hotel, haha. They requested for a swim (luckily I bought all their swimming clothes for stand by). EQ was brave in playing water, compared to KH. KH dared not walk even to the children's swimming pool by himself, he wants me to hold his hand to go with him & join with hubby & EQ - Sigh!
(Too bad my camera's battery is flat & I couldn't take any photos later on)

We went to Strait's Quay ( a new shopping mall according to our cousin in law). It was a small shopping mall with some flea market & the main attraction was the boats parking outside. The scenery should be very nice during sun sets (but we missed that as we were too late). Yet, the night scenery was nice too, it'll be better during windy days. It was the first time we brought twins to see boats, everything seems special & new to them.

This is the first photo taken for twins at Penang, on our way to restaurant for our dinner.
Twins in trishaw (took the opportunity to take this photo while the driver parked his trishaw at roadside)

On the second day, we checked out early from hotel & went to Kek Lok Si Temple for a praying.
Didns manage to go to uphills, as twins refuse to walk by their own & want us to carry them. Ended we just pray at downhills temple. There were a place for turtle's feeding further inside the temple. Kids were enjoying themselves feeding the turtles, we bought 2 bundles of kangkung for the twins. If we didn't "force" them to go back, I guess they'll be staying there till end of the day. (The small bundle of kangkung were sold at RM1.00 each & was too pricey to me. Kangkung were sold at less than that in hypermarkets, I guess in tourism places, this is how people deal with business, right? Especially we the parents, with kids, seeing our own kids enjoying so much.)

Next we went to Penang Hill - lots of people queuing for the train. Luckily we were early that day. Waiting our turns & manage to get our seats next to the window so that twins can have a better view & experience during the ride. It was very fast, I guess about 10 minutes ride from down hill to up hill. We went for a stroll uphills, lots of walking & due to hot weather twins were very tiring & want us to carry them the whole trip. It was torturing for me, especially I'm with serious back pain that time.

At noon, we headed back to Seberang Perai as we need to check in our hotel & rest before attending the wedding dinner. I suggested to hubby to take ferry instead as this will be a very nice experience for twins.
It was indeed. Took a photo for twins & hubby in the ferry. Twins love the ferry ride so much.

Although it was very tiring for me during the whole trip, I'm glad that we brought twins along for a short holiday. Exploring twins to public transport - train, ferry was a good experience, which I hope they can still remember when they were a bit older. I'm still looking forward for another family trip, but this round I really hope we can bring JY along. Lets cross our fingers & pray to the best ^_^

Movies with twins-backdated posting (14/04/2012)

Ever since Battleship was on cinema, papa has mentioned this & that to me & hinted me for a movie. So during lunch break, I faster go to IOI Mall & bought 4 ticket passes - 2 adult + 2 children - Yes, we're bringing twins for the movie!

I was very busy on that day & have over looked the time, we skipped lunch & straight heading to cinema. On our way there, we told twins that we are bringing them for a movie - KH asked why should we go for a movie, since we can watch at home (Haha, to my boy watching movie was watching a big screen TV, so it was just the same as watching it at home!) Very hard to explain to him at his age about the sound effect & etc, wait until I've the chance to explain to him.

Twins were very excited first when entering the cinema. Just manage to took 2 photos for twins & papa - twins were busy eating the biscuits, which papa bought from Thailand.
During the show, hum..twins were not willing to sit by their own & wanted us to carry them. Well, at least they are still willing to watch the movie, rather than being cranky to go out. Me & papa enjoyed the movie so much - well, this is our first movie after JY's birth, haha. So we must treasure it ^_^

Some nice conversation with twins :-
KH: Why must watch movie in cinema?
EQ :Cinema bigger TV screen ..nicer
KH: Why must watch fighting movies - teachers say this is not good. Next time, cannot watch...

Some thoughts
I tried to recall myself when was my first movie with my parents - well, it was about this age as twins -I remembered that we'll bring our own snacks to have in the cinema & once mom brought me & my brother to KL town for a Ninja Turtle movie. That time we took bus all the way from Kepong to KL town for a movie - and it was a good one, I enjoyed so much. I hope my kids will enjoyed the movies time in future & still can recall it when they grow up, just the way I did when I was small..I sincerely hope that.

Family trip to Genting Highlands

We've finally made it for our first family trip to Genting Highlands on this 4th Dec.
Well, I would say that the trip was nice & a good experience for my kids, especially my twins. Both of they enjoying so much in the rides in Indoor Theme Park.
(Buying online for the tickets & rooms will be given a 10% discount, it's worth it, hassle free & it's easy & one good thing is NO LONG QUEUE ^_^)

Besides the expensive meals & long queue for the rides, the rest was just nice.
We've encountered a terrible & rude parent while waiting for the twins to have their ride in the train. There was 1 girl (age at least 8 yrs old) - initially she was queuing at the back of my twins & she was pushing my twins away in the queue so that she could be the first. What makes worst is that the girl's sister also "joining" and starts pushing my twins away, they nearly felt down if not holding the standing bar! I was so angry with the girls & I start scolding them & informing them they should not be pushing the kids & should queue up accordingly. The worst is that the girl's parents were just standing outside and start asking their girls to queue in front so that they could choose the front seats! Such a rude parent!
(This is surely a bad experience for myself & my kids. My kids were terrified being pushed all the way down the ground, and nearly cried - Sigh!)

We spend a night at the First World Hotel while my in-laws were at Awana.
The rooms at Awana was splendid with nice scenery, but wasn't convenience for us with younger age toddlers as the kids need to rest in the room, as well as us the parent to recharge our battery. But I would admit Awana is a great place for vacation & relaxing, as First World is too crowded & the room were too small.

BB JY was so cranky during the trip, just wants hubby to carry him all the way and refused to be sitting on his stroller. However, I must admit that the stroller is indeed good for traveling :-
a.kids can just sit / sleep while they are tired
b.to put our bags & carriage & kid's stuffs
(Well, we regret giving our twins stroller too to a close relative.Else, it'll be handy to be use for our next trip as we need to carry our kids with 2 strollers, it just fit to use for our 3 kids ^_^)

Special Remark
Traveling with "close family" isn't that easy, when we're trying our best to please everyone. Especially when in comes with food in tourism place, where limited "alternatives" is given to please both the kids & the "elderly".

I would hope that this is certainly not our last "family trip" and looking forward to a better one in near future, hopefully ^_^

Nice photo shooting

About last week - JY's birthday

On JY's birthday, papa was away for outstation at JB. I didn't buy any cakes for JY as we had celebrate it earlier for the lunar birthday & w/o papa at home - I felt a little bit of lonely, haha. My twins were "big enough" when we told them that papa is away for business trip, but not for JY. JY was looking for his daddy midnight & crying loudly - I had a bad sleep that night - how I wish papa is just next to me @_@

Papa rushed back to KL the next day - very early morning - left at 6am & reaching KL by 9am! Yes, I was shocked when I called hubby when I just dropped off JY at nanny's place. He told me he was waiting for me for breakfast in the office! Lovely, haha - just the two of us ^_^

I showed hubby about JY's photo is ASTRO XTY - I just saw it once in the TV & manage to grab the photo. If you observed it nicely, you'll find that JY looks very small in the photo - yes, indeed this was the photo taken when he was just 5 months old ++. Well, it seems that we didn't take many photos for JY & the photos taken wasn't that nice too, so I just picked this one. So that's the reason for it & I'm happy to receive Irene's sms on 04/08/11 too - she told me she saw JY's photo in XTY & send me her birthday wishes for JY. Thanks Irene ^_^

We brought JY to Edaran Tan Chong Motor for the Nissan's car discussion. JY seems very active in the exhibition hall -he was moving non-stop to touch the posters & etc. I has a very hard time maintaining him in good position during the discussion. I decided to make a move & took JY to the "kid's corner". They had a small play-ground for the kids in the hall. Good - at least can kept JY occupying the time while papa finished the discussion with them.

JY was excited riding the "toy", and he was greedy too, he was trying to grab another one while he was sitting on "one". He was singing & baby talking too while playing the toy. I manage to recorded out & show to hubby, can't stop laughing when seeing the replay. We will just have to admit that our JY is indeed a TIGER - energetic & active ^_^
