Family trip to Genting Highlands

We've finally made it for our first family trip to Genting Highlands on this 4th Dec.
Well, I would say that the trip was nice & a good experience for my kids, especially my twins. Both of they enjoying so much in the rides in Indoor Theme Park.
(Buying online for the tickets & rooms will be given a 10% discount, it's worth it, hassle free & it's easy & one good thing is NO LONG QUEUE ^_^)

Besides the expensive meals & long queue for the rides, the rest was just nice.
We've encountered a terrible & rude parent while waiting for the twins to have their ride in the train. There was 1 girl (age at least 8 yrs old) - initially she was queuing at the back of my twins & she was pushing my twins away in the queue so that she could be the first. What makes worst is that the girl's sister also "joining" and starts pushing my twins away, they nearly felt down if not holding the standing bar! I was so angry with the girls & I start scolding them & informing them they should not be pushing the kids & should queue up accordingly. The worst is that the girl's parents were just standing outside and start asking their girls to queue in front so that they could choose the front seats! Such a rude parent!
(This is surely a bad experience for myself & my kids. My kids were terrified being pushed all the way down the ground, and nearly cried - Sigh!)

We spend a night at the First World Hotel while my in-laws were at Awana.
The rooms at Awana was splendid with nice scenery, but wasn't convenience for us with younger age toddlers as the kids need to rest in the room, as well as us the parent to recharge our battery. But I would admit Awana is a great place for vacation & relaxing, as First World is too crowded & the room were too small.

BB JY was so cranky during the trip, just wants hubby to carry him all the way and refused to be sitting on his stroller. However, I must admit that the stroller is indeed good for traveling :-
a.kids can just sit / sleep while they are tired
b.to put our bags & carriage & kid's stuffs
(Well, we regret giving our twins stroller too to a close relative.Else, it'll be handy to be use for our next trip as we need to carry our kids with 2 strollers, it just fit to use for our 3 kids ^_^)

Special Remark
Traveling with "close family" isn't that easy, when we're trying our best to please everyone. Especially when in comes with food in tourism place, where limited "alternatives" is given to please both the kids & the "elderly".

I would hope that this is certainly not our last "family trip" and looking forward to a better one in near future, hopefully ^_^

Nice photo shooting

Heart to Heart Playgroup @_@

I've started to enroll twins to a playgroup by July. It happened so fast - I read from Jessie's blog about the playgroup - called the organizer & decided to take twins there. On the first day - we were late for the playgroup as papa dropped us there after sending JY to nanny's place. (And, being late there wasn't nice at all with people staring at us. Luckily Jessie called up my name & we were able to chat for a while, and I was much relief later on.)

I was a bit "unknown" what to do when I was there, as the playgroup was attended by lots of MM + kids & the room was small to occupy all. It was crowded. My twins were a bit shock & don't know what to do during the first day, mainly is because the it was English medium & my twins can't understand at all. My twins stared & smile when the teacher & the kids speaking English with them @_@ and I regretted now why shouldn't I speak English much earlier than this!

Communication is a problem to my in laws if we would let twins speak in English medium, as they can only understand simple English & they mainly speak Teochew. Main reason I've not implementing English medium in my house is due to this, I don't want my kids unable to communicate with their granny, grandpa, uncle & aunt later on, as well as their cousins.

I brought my mom along with me for the second class, as I need extra helper to take care the twins. Papa need to work this days & he was too busy to join along. The second class was about WATER. Twins did potato stamping that day. Teacher Teresa was assisting EQ for it as she saw EQ only wants green color instead of others. Well, green is EQ's favorite color, whatever things which is in green & when she saw it, she wants it - Sigh! While KH wants only red color for the stamping, not other than other color.

Twins learn to do fish too, with color paper by sticking it on card board. I let KH do by his own for the thing, I just advise which to go about. On the other hand, it seems that my mom is more "fun" joining the class asking EQ to do this & that, haha. I told my mom as this is a Montessori based playgroup, we must let the twins try by their own & let them do the things themselves. Sometimes, we the adult decide too much for our kids. Why not let twins have little fun in the class & decide what they plan to do, no harm isn't it?

Twins have so much fun doing the crafts! I observed that EQ is with very talented in color matching, she'll choose the color for the crafts & the drawing! Could it be due to "fashion"..I wonder?

Let's see twins masterpiece :-
a.Fish
b.Potato stamping (did once at the playgroup & again this morning)

Observation

a.My twins still unable to speak English in the second class.
b.However, they are more easy going with the class now, compared to the first one.
Keep going & gambateh, I hope they can do better in the future classes!

About last week - JY's birthday

On JY's birthday, papa was away for outstation at JB. I didn't buy any cakes for JY as we had celebrate it earlier for the lunar birthday & w/o papa at home - I felt a little bit of lonely, haha. My twins were "big enough" when we told them that papa is away for business trip, but not for JY. JY was looking for his daddy midnight & crying loudly - I had a bad sleep that night - how I wish papa is just next to me @_@

Papa rushed back to KL the next day - very early morning - left at 6am & reaching KL by 9am! Yes, I was shocked when I called hubby when I just dropped off JY at nanny's place. He told me he was waiting for me for breakfast in the office! Lovely, haha - just the two of us ^_^

I showed hubby about JY's photo is ASTRO XTY - I just saw it once in the TV & manage to grab the photo. If you observed it nicely, you'll find that JY looks very small in the photo - yes, indeed this was the photo taken when he was just 5 months old ++. Well, it seems that we didn't take many photos for JY & the photos taken wasn't that nice too, so I just picked this one. So that's the reason for it & I'm happy to receive Irene's sms on 04/08/11 too - she told me she saw JY's photo in XTY & send me her birthday wishes for JY. Thanks Irene ^_^

We brought JY to Edaran Tan Chong Motor for the Nissan's car discussion. JY seems very active in the exhibition hall -he was moving non-stop to touch the posters & etc. I has a very hard time maintaining him in good position during the discussion. I decided to make a move & took JY to the "kid's corner". They had a small play-ground for the kids in the hall. Good - at least can kept JY occupying the time while papa finished the discussion with them.

JY was excited riding the "toy", and he was greedy too, he was trying to grab another one while he was sitting on "one". He was singing & baby talking too while playing the toy. I manage to recorded out & show to hubby, can't stop laughing when seeing the replay. We will just have to admit that our JY is indeed a TIGER - energetic & active ^_^

Happy Birthday, JY

Well, JY will be officially 1yr old by tomorrow.
We've celebrated the lunar one by 24/07/11 (the same week while I was just discharged from PPUM). We had a simple family gathering with my own family + BIL (the one which is close to us).

JY has grown up so much this days. He has started with solid food of porridge 3-4 times a day, cereal 1-2 times a day at nanny place. In the early morning & night time, he prefers milk - in this few days, we've given JY 5oz Pediasure for a try & so far he seems OK with it - touch word. Will need to observe for 1 more week & see if he's OK with that & to fully switch him to Pediasure, as I've < 10 bottles of BM for him.

JY is more active this days. He started to join twins whenever & whatever twins are doing, he'll love to join for the fun. Unfortunately, twins esp KH is unhappy with his "little surprises", twins tend to ran away when the little brother wanted to join them to play @_@

JY is able to lean firmly, compared to last few weeks but still unable to stand. But, he's doing great with the Fisher Price's walker (which was used by twins last time). We just put him on the walker & he's able to "sit & walk" by his own - bravo JY. (I shall try to upload more of his photos in this, while I still can, because he's trying to snatch my camera when I'm taking the photos - Sigh!)

Still have lots to drop out about JY's progress... a mother will have endless to talk about with her kids..haha, especially me a mother to 3.

JY, hope that you've a blessfull birthday - 平平安安, 健康就好了 ^_^

A long week

I was hospitalized for six days due to tiredness & stress. During this long week, I've to change my mindset & accept the reality that I can no longer breastfeeding my BB JY, as doctor advise me to use this good period weaning off BB JY from fully breastfeeding.

It's a very hard decision for me all of sudden just to let go of everything. When I was discharged & went back. My twins gave me a kiss & heart melted, how I missed my kids & when I finally got the chance to see BB JY, he seems like have grow up a lot...oh mine & he seems like not recognizing me @_@

Oh God, give me strength ...I can do this & overcome this. I've gave my very best of trying to BF my boy as a working mother & it's time for me to let go.
I've still < 10 bottles of milk for JY & it's time for JY to try FM - Pediasure will be our choice as twins were taking this.

BB JY- 11 months

BB JY is 11 months ++
He is getting more active recently. He has starts crawling since he is 6 months old. Now he started to lean against sofa / table & trying to stand & walk slowly.
He is very macho - he'll try to let go of his hands & started to pose to us as seems to inform us that he can stand @_@

BB JY will not sit quietly to play his toys, he prefers to snatch twin's toys most of the time & KH has assume that his "little brother" as his top "enemy" as JY will snatch off his toys...cute, while EQ being the feminine part will shares her toys with the little brother.

BB JY will only sit quietly during his bath time!He enjoys a lot in the water & loves to be naked after bathing - it's very hard for me to dress him up. He'll scream & removed all the clothes & even pampers. He just want to be "free" -Sigh!

As JY will be reaching 1yr old by end of the month, I've yet to survey birthday cakes & etc for his 1yr old birthday celebration. Not to have a grand one, instead we'll just have a small gathering with my parents & brother. Birthday presents, what should I give JY & the twins...I'm still surveying.

Puzzle

My twins love to play puzzles recently. I've a few sets (given by blogger & friends), but this were all in bad shape - all torn & missing as I exposed them to twins too early & at that time they don't know how to play & all being tortured badly @_@

I introduce puzzles to twins when they were 1.5yrs old. Too early - I think yes at least for my twins as they were just used them to play "masak masak" instead of really solving the puzzles.

I began to do some survey & it seems that wooden puzzles & thicker material puzzles are better for younger age toddlers. This is because of their motor skill & the puzzles texture, where kids can hold them firmly & play with them.

So I bought my 1st set of puzzle from Popular bookshop during sales.
It's about "Vegetable" - twins were not good initially when they started to play, but the next day they can play all the 8pcs very good.

I bought the 2nd set - Giraffe set - a big puzzle which come with a story book as well, from Popular bookshop.(The whole set is only RM15.90, worth to buy as the board book & the puzzles quality is good!)
Observed that KH is very good in playing puzzles, but not for EQ. She losses her interest if she can't get the link between the puzzles. But KH will try to match the photos / color of the puzzles to get the linking. I'll need to train EQ to play more in this.

The 3rd set - Transportation, I bought from Tesco (The quality is not that good as the puzzles were not being cut properly & I need to trim it a few times to let twins play). Lets give a guess what's twins favorite in this series?
AEROPLANE!!
They'll fight with each other when they saw that puzzle @_@

The 4th set - a wooden puzzle which I ordered online. It's a wooden puzzle with a magnet on top of it, which we can used the wooden stick to snap it & play with it. Twins love to play it as it was like fishing for them.
However, based on my own experience, the wooden puzzle is not safe for BB JY. He loves to put in his mouth, and the wooden chips can easily chipped off & it stucked on his mouth! Luckily we noticed this & removed from his mouth, else I really don't know what will happened if the chips stuck at his throat!
(I banned this set & only allow twins to play under my supervision in the room only.)

The 5th & 6th set - I upgraded to a better one - Infatino's puzzle.
When I Grow Up Puzzle & A Day at the Fair Puzzle
A Day at the Fair Puzzle - it's a 3D puzzle & twins just can't stop playing it!
When I Grow Up Puzzle - it's alphabetical puzzle, but twins still don't know all the alphabets & they were only guessing while playing it.
Overall, this is a very good quality puzzle which is worth to buy, although it's a bit expensive!
(I myself can't stop playing the sets as it was just too fun to play with ^_^)

BB JY Kissing The Floor

Recently, BB JY loves to kiss the floor. Yes, you are right = KISSING THE FLOOR.
He'll crawl down from the sofa to the mattress & then to the floor & starts kissing it & then he'll starts saying "WOW WOW". This is his baby language for dogs!

It started since last 2 weeks that BB JY started to say "wow wow" & nanny told this is referring to the dog (nanny's house got a big dog at the car porch).

Well, it seems that BB JY first word is not "PAPA", "MAMA" or "POPO" -it's "WOW WOW", a man best friend is indeed a DOG!

A for Aeroplane

We can see aeroplane everyday from our place as the LCCT was just 30 minutes drive from our house, if we go from Dengkil. Twins are very fancy & excited about aeroplanes, when they hear the "sound", they'll go to the front door & to the backyard again & they'll count how many aeroplanes in a day that pass through our house. Off course, they'll "lost counting" the actual figures as they can only count from the number 1 to 10. From number 11 onwards, they'll go back to 1 again haha, funny.

At the age of 3, twins love to ask a lot of WHY, WHAT & WHERE.
Why the aeroplanes are flying in the sky & not on the road, like mommy & daddy's car? Where does all the aeroplanes go?

To fulfill their curiosity, hubby decided to bring them to the airport to show them what does a real aeroplane looks like & where did the aeroplane landing.
Last Sunday, hubby dropped by at the Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (Subang Airport), while on our way to Setia Alam. He stopped by at the "Kastam" area, there were a few planes (these were the cargo planes, but for twins the passengers planes & the cargo planes are the same). We showed them the "actual" plane, taught them about the engines, the airport & etc. They were so excited & wanted to take photos with the planes. They'll shout AEROPLANES...whenever they see one.

BB JY was staring at the twins as he is too small to understand a plane. Hubby just hug him & showed him around & naughty BB JY wanted to go down & walked by his own!

It was then started to rain & we have to take a move. Overall, it's a good activity to bring kids around & showed them the actual thing. I guess to believe in a thing is by seeing it. Twins is so enjoyed & they even show to popo & gong gong about the photos they took & explaining to them the trip that they went!

Worth to go, and it's FOC.
Learning is fun & I bet twins will request us for a next trip in the following weeks.

Learning through playing

Playing allow kids to learn about themselves and the world around them. Through playing, a kid will develop the skills that expand his / her physical, cognitive and emotional abilities.

Kodomo Kids House
This is the link which I saw online from forum that it's a good playschool for kids to join & learn a lot.
It's Kodomo Kids House, located at Setia Alam.
The teacher - Miss Ice is a very friendly & caring teacher.
(I've initially enrolled my twins for a course last month, was called off at the end due to hubby didn't allowed twins to go playschool & he needs me to take care BB JY during weekend as well. I was moody past few weeks due to this, and I don't know when my twins will be able to go playschool / kindie in near future)

We brought twins once to the Kodomo Kids House, twins loved it a lot, as they can play & learn at the mean time. Twins were so enjoy until not willing to go home, when I told them it's time to go home for a nap.

Although I only been there once, I love it's environment, especially the teacher, which is so loving for the kids. We share about the thoughts of the kids & she taught me on selecting the kid's educational toys, which we can purchased it & teach our kids.

Among the toys she mentioned, I love this one - it's a toy which we can put the "nails" into the board to do crafts / patterns.
It can train the kids to learn motor skills by pressing & removing the "nails" & at the same time to train kids to learn how to do a pattern as it has a sequence to follow in order to play on the board.
(I don't know how to call / address this toy as this toy is initially from me & my brother's generation. It was bought from my dad when we were very small. Yes, we still kept the toys & the toys were still in good condition. It was made from Italy, maybe I guess toys last time were better than now because of it's quality)

Lets see what my twins are doing :-

It's nice isn't it?

My little TIGER

Last night BB JY is very cranky. Hubby was home early & plays with him. After a while, BB JY was tired & so hubby put him to sarung & he slept at 9pm++. He woke up by midnight & later he refused to be on bed & wants us to play with him.

Hubby was too tired & he slept, while I was trying hard to maintain BB JY from midnight till 4am! BB JY refused from sarung, I've try patting him a few rounds & he'll just crawl to me & starts playing with me, which was very annoying as I was too tired to join him for any fun at all.
Yes I was too tired & started feeling dizzy, so I've no choice but to wake up daddy for his help to pat BB JY to sleep, while I can rest.

I hardly sleep & manage to take a nap from 5am - 7.45am.
The whole day I was still feeling dizzy - thanks to my BB JY.

When I woke up this morning, I took BB JY will be tiring. To my surprise both JY & hubby was very energetic & start playing around. In fact, hubby told me that he just pat him a while & the little fellow started to doze off!!

I guess the BB is bullying me, not the first time. He will only look for me when he needs milk! Yes, I'm the best "MOO MOO" for him!
(I'll write again, I'm too tired today)

(I'm a TIGER - don't play play ha....wow!)

Whereabout & happenings

About BB JY
I haven't update about BB JY for sometime.
BB JY has been very active recently.
He has started to crawl since 6 months old. Now, he is 10 months++, he began his adventures "crawling" the staircase - yes, very terrible, he find it so challenging & refuse to come down when we carry him away.
BB JY can crawled to 10 steps of the staircase at mom's place & at our place, he'll crawled to the 3rd steps & started to play with the doormat ~ Sigh!
He finds the doormat is a toy to play with!

See what's BB JY doing... ...

Papa coming for rescue

About twins
At the age of 3 years old, twins learning to communicate with the adults.
I have to state this as communication, as we are responding to them most the time, and to our surprise they can express a lot, and some of the words we have never taught them before.
The other day, twins were playing their "spoon" again, to them, the "spoon" is their HP, and they used this to call to my dad & also "the boss".
EQ : Halo, gong gong?
EQ : Zuo meh yeh (What is it in Cantonese - we never taught her before)
Oh, washing machine is spoilt, is it? Never mind lah, cannot fix then buy a new one lah....
And a night before, when we were talking about the book which left on the floor,
Me : Why the books is being removed from the book's wrapper? Can both of you tell me why?
KH : I don't know- it's mei mei. She tears it out.
Me : Mei mei, did you do so?
EQ : Nope, I saw it's you & popo removing it out?
(EQ is denying)
Popo : Who says so, when did you see us doing so?
EQ : Just now, I saw it with both eyes - 1 eye looking at mama, 1 eye looking at popo!
OMG, that's the word uttered from my 3yr old girl!

Learning through this way is fun, but I do hope that my twins don't use this as excuses & denying in things when they've made mistakes.
Accepting you are wrong is not hard, as long as you learn your mistakes ^_^
I hope my kids will remember this.

(Twins at KLCC last Saturday - hard to snap their picture at the same time)

(KH playing blocks, I observed that he is good in playing this blocks, if compared to EQ. He has lots of imagination with the blocks. )

Twins learning cycling

Twins have been requesting us for a bicycle for a long time. When we were still living in our small apartment, they could only see from the balcony when kids cycling, they have requested for a few round.

Last month, while me, my brother & my mom were at JPN Puchong applying for changing the address of our IC, we went to the nearby toy shops. Twins were excited seeing so many bicycles & so as we.

I decided to buy 1 for each of them.
KH with a taller seat one, which I think still be able to ride till he's 5 yrs old.
EQ with a smaller version (lower unit), because she is much shorter than KH.

Twins were so happy when they saw the bicycles after their nap (it wasn't easy for me, as I need to make 2 rounds to the shop for replacement & maintenance)
At first, they don't know how to pedal at all, kept moving backward.
After a few days of warming up, they are much better now, just that they are still not able to "cycle" in a full round.
They will pedal "half turn" again & again, very funny when I watched them cycling.

BB JY is so excited to see twins cycling & will chase them using his walker. He is even happy when hubby put him on EQ's bicycle & starts pushing him around ^_^

Huggies Play Tent

I've managed to redeem a Huggies play tent, thanks to Shanne Yap. She gave me a 20 points sticker, enable me to have enough points for the redemption.
Thank you very much, Shanne ^_^

Hubby received the "courier" for me at home, when I went out to work. He assembled it & twins were happy playing with it - my mom told me.
(My initial plan is to redeem for BB JY, so that he can crawl & starts playing in the play tent, while I can teach twins to read / other activities)

When I knocked off from work, fetching BB JY back...BB JY sparkles when he saw the tent & started to join with the twins. In less than 10 minutes, the tent began to collapse..thanks to my 3 kiddos!!

(Twins & BB JY playing excitedly in the tent)

(The tent collapsed...in <10 minutes. My kiddos are so aggressive ~ Sigh!)

(KH coming out from the tent, surrender ^_^)

(At last, BB JY managed to "escape" from the area)

Looking at all this, if you asked me did I managed to meet my initial target / plan for the tent - well, not really.
When I started to read / teach twins, BB JY is coming to join the fun.
When my mom trying to remove him from us, BB JY crying loudly, not willing to go out. Sob - sob, seeing this makes my heart melt & trying to read to 3 kiddos at the same time really need a lot of patience, interruption is on & off.
I'm still trying my very best ^_^

Scholastics Book Buffet

I saw from Early 123 forum that there will be a Scholastic's book buffet at Mid Valley from 10-12 June. The books are very good & so I took half day leave today to buy books.

I leave by 8am today from my house, and the traffic is congested all the way from Puchong to Old Klang Road, I'm glad that I leave early today to avoid the "traffic". Reached 8.45am at Mid Valley & I thought I was "early birds"..nope, until I went upstairs and I saw parents with kids are already there. I thought it could be a good bargain since so many people reached early at the booth.

We began to queue by 9.30am. The cashier system was down for 10 minutes, and I managed to buy 2 bags - the bag was really small.
Bag's dimension : 25.5cm (Height) x 25cm (Width)
(I wonder how many could I grab??)

Sharp 10am we are allow to go in & start our "shopping". However, the reality is there wasn't lots of books in the booth. The "board books" were very limited & due to the book's size, if you want to take the books, you can only take <20 books per bag, which to me it's not worth at all.

By 10.40am, the staffs started announcing that they'll need to close the book for the next session & we are given limited time to choose & to pack the "goodies bag" ASAP. I saw lots of mommies busy arranging, and me myself was still wandering around the booth if "the top up" will still be going on. Well, again to my disappointment, I saw only once the top up is done & only 3 books was added by the workers in each session. And 3 books was nothing to me, because once put on the shelf, it was "grabbed" by others very fast in less than 1 minute!

I don't think I'll be going next year, at least for now.
1st Bag = 48 books (majority are soft cover books, which I can squeezed in a lot)
2nd Bag = 28 books (hard cover board books, which I can't squeezed in to many)
76 books =RM 99.80
1 book = RM 1.30 (Worth it?? Not pretty sure about it, but some mommies told me that this is the actual price she got for some books too during normal sales)

I was speechless..well I just sacrifice my half day leave for buying "non-value added" books?

BB JY is down with Fever ^(^

BB JY is down with fever since last Sunday. He starts cranky, refused on porridge & only wants papa to hug / carry him. Poor BB is teething time for him now, with 4 teeths coming out. He's very heaty as I can feel it while I was breastfeeding him.

Due to continues fever, we brought him to Dr. Chan's clinic on Monday evening. We were lucky as the clinic is still open & not many people in it. Dr Chan says BB was too heaty & got mild inflammation, gave him fever medicine & for inflammation & reminded us to bring him back for reconsultation if fever is still on.

Today it's the 3rd day since the visit, and BB JY is still with fever. I was thinking to admit him to Sunway Medical Center for a proper checkup, yet papa is against it. I'll need to call nanny by noon to check his status & to decide later for the admittance.

BB JY has lost much of his weight this few days due to his sickness.
His chin is pointed & sharp, can't see his chubbiness now..sob sob
I were told breast feeding kids were more healthier, but is seems that I was wrong, they can still get sick easily.

I was still relief that JY still wants his milk during his sickness. Twins has been very cooperative knowing that their little brother has falled sick. They even try to make him smile by playing with him, yet JY seems not interesting in it at all.

This is the photo taken last month while 3 kiddos staring at the wondow in living room. How I miss JY's chubbiness..hi hi

Lets cross fingers that BB JY is much better by then.

Teaching twins to read

I've been wanting to teach my twins to read since they reached 1yr old. However it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I remember when twins reached 1 yr old, instead of reading books, they are biting & tearing the books. I've tried soft books, hard cover books & even flash cards. What ever things that is reachable ended will be in pretty "bad shape" later - torn into pieces :-(

So, I didn't buy many books that time. Those books I used were freebies given by twins formula milk & some friends which we exchanged some goodies.
Yet, I feel like as they are growing, it should be time to read & write by themselves. If I didn't start now, when is the right timing?

Yet,the task is not easy. At the age of 3, they still love to tear books. I wonder why? You can scold them or beat them, ended they'll still do this the next time. Daddy is very angry with this when he saw twins tearing pages into pieces..and doesn't allowed me to let twins read books by their own.
(I was very angry with daddy because in my opinion - twins should have given a chance to read while they can. Although tearing papers really dismay all of us.)

I'm still trying my very best to read to twins daily, when I'm free.
Wish me luck..I'm still trying very hard.

(Mischievous EQ laughing at me while I was taking a photo of her.)

See what's my boy is doing - tearing the stickers from the book :-(

Eco Park, Setia Alam

Last Saturday, we went to my 3rd aunt house at Eco Park, Setia Alam.
It has been some years since our last visit to the park, although from time to time we'll drop by at my aunt's place when we are free.
The first time we went was in Oct 2009, that was the time when twins just started to walk and they loved walking at the park, feeding ducklings.

Again, this time we went to feed ducklings at Eco Park. There wasn't lots of ducks, if compared to last time. Aunt told that the management has segregated the ducklings to a few places so that others can also feed them & attracts people in other places as well.

My twins were very enjoyed when they saw the ducklings but do not dare to touch them nor feed them. I was holding BB JY & watching my twins from far, as I'm afraid the ducklings will attack us. However, BB JY dozed off while we were in the park. He was too tired playing with my uncle & twins the whole day & refused to go for a nap.
Poor BB just dozed off while I was hugging him.

I really like the environment at Eco Park, cooling & nice. Nowadays kids can hardly get close to Mother Nature, not to says playing under the trees & walking bare food on the sands. I would really love to bring my kids to here again, if I'm free - I'll try too. Although our new house is with park, but it was a small park & I don't like when "bigger kids" playing nasty in the park - I don't want my twins to follow the was they were playing.

Well, lets see if we can go to Eco Park, this week, if daddy is free ^_^

(Nice ducklings eating the food.)

About last week

Last week was a great week for me & the kids.
I was craving for durians because I saw from Anggugu forum that eating durians can increase breat milk production..so I wanna try hehe
I bought 4pcs D24 durians last Wednesday while on my way back to fetch BB JY, cost me RM105.00 (1kg is RM15, expensive isn't it). I gave 2pcs for JY's nanny as appreciation & the rest for my family.

That night we finished dinner early in order to have "durians fiesta" later.
BB JY was so curious when he saw daddy carrying the durians to the dining hall, he wanted to look closely what we were having - cute. We all enjoyed the durians, but too bad my twins don't want to eat - they says it's smelly & not nice :-(

Twins Chekup at PPUM
I send twins for checkup at PPUM again last Friday as twins were pre-mature kids, so doctors need us to send them for checkup in every 6 months time till they reached 7yrs old. We went early that day, and twins were fancy looking at a small playground at the hospital. There was a Chinese boy playing in the room by himself & he was very excited when he saw my twins & wanted to play with my girl - EQ. However, EQ was seems very afraid of him, mainly because she was much smaller size, if compared to the boy.

(Can you see the boy whom is wearing red t-shirt, his weight is equivalent to my twins..haha, and FYI, his father told us that the boy is same age as mine, he was born in January, which means only 2 months senior than mine....)

(Twins love to play this..but EQ wasn't in a good mood because while I was taking this photo, the "Chinese boy" is banging his body & coming towards twins direction. EQ was terrified seeing a "big boy".)

Moving to our new house

As twins are growing, we decided to move to a landed property rather than staying in a small apartment. Although the apartment is cosy & very convenience of going elsewhere, yet there's limited space for twins to play around & the neighbourhood is "limited" too, as we hardly see our neighbours as doors were closing all the time.

On 15/03/11, we finally move to our new house - PV. The house is nice, cosy & it's quiet, especially at night time.Sometimes, we can also listened to insect's sound. There's 2 small playground near our house. Twins have been requesting us (me, hubby & mom) to take them for a walk there. I'm reluctant to go with following reasons:-
a.the grass is quite high near the playground, so there's lots of mosquitoes there.
b.took twins last Saturday, there were "bigger kids" playing there. They were swinging the swing upside down, and horrified me, as it might hurt "younger age" kids like mine whom with only 3 yrs old.

Home sweet home. We've moved in more than 3 weeks now. I'm glad that twins & BB JY can adapt to the new environment. New home, more spacious, where I plan to set up a study room for my kiddos later. Hubby has arranged all the kid's toys, books, stationary in a cabinet. I need to survey for a student's table (the one I bought earlier is too small to occupy twins at the same time.)

The above photo is taken last week, with hubby & kids.
Just nice to be at our home sweet home.

Twins 3 Years Old Birthday (Backdated posting)

Happy birthday, my angels. Twins were 3 yrs old on 10/03/2011..finally.
I emailed their photos to Astro XTY - birthday session. Well, their photo were posted ...and they were so happy when they saw their own photo on the TV show.
Even hubby was so keen that he'll wait for the photo to be shown on TV..haha
We just had a simple dinner at home with a Doraemon cake, which I bought from QQ Jelly Cake House. Twins were so happy when they saw the cake, because I've told them earlier that if they were well behaved, they'll have a Doraemon cake by their birthday. I guess as parent, we must kept our promises to our kids. At the same time, BB JY was so exiting when he saw the birthday cake. He kept moving around when twins wanted to blow the candles. Lets look at the video clip...EQ was exiting blowing the candles..
(Well, BB JY - you've yours by August then ^_^)

Injection for BB JY

Yesterday brought BB JY to PPUM for his 6 month's old injection.
There were lots of BB queuing for the injection.
BB JY is very active, he refused to sit tight & tying to crawl from my sit to the next chair..grabbing the aunty's handbag who is sitting next to us.
I had a hard time maintaining him in good position, because he is moving all the time.

While waiting his turn for the injection, we saw 1 Chinese lady holding her BB..the little BB girl has fallen asleep & laying on her mother's back ~ so sweet. We chat for a while & she told me JY is very active & healthy, I told her I'm still BF him.
We were happy coz we shared the same - we were BF mommies.

A note of my BF stories
It wasn't easy during my BF journey for JY. I've been sick & depressed due to no milk for my boy. Yet, I was happy that I've close friends whom encourage me & advise me what can I do to improve lactation. I would say family support plays the most important part.

To recall back, during my confinement this round, I was treated very badly by my confinement lady. She cooked only once a day for me & no tonics were prepared for me. She even gave me overnight or left-over dishes. But this doesn't stopped me to stop BF my boy. She even criticized me for BF my boy as she told that BM is lack of nutrition due to my condition.

Well, I was indeed down & upset with her during that time. Yet, I still insist on BF and I want her to know that I could do better than that.

A special thanks to my mother, whom have help me & gave me moral support for breast feeding my little JY.

Getting twins to be ready to pre-school

I've been wondering if I should send my twins to kindergarten / pre-school once they reach 3yrs old. My mom has reminded me that when kids start schooling, their immune system will reduce & they can easily get infected & fall sick.
Mom is worried if twins at the same time fall sick & BB JY is also infected, 3 kiddos falling sick at the same time..OMG..how are we going to cope up with that?

Well, I can't be selfish that keeping my twins at house all the while. It's time for them to explore & socialize with other kids & learning things. So I decided to send them for a pre-school by April after we've move to out new house & settle down.

At the mean time, me & mom is busy training twins about schooling..what they need to do there & etc. Last night we had a talk with twins.
Mama : Gege, do you want to go to school like Sammy jie jie?
(Sammy is my hubby's cousin sister girl)
KH : Yes..I want to go to school.
(My boy noded is head & smiles at me...heart melted hehe)
Mama : How about mei mei? Do you want to follow gege to shcool?
(I asked my girl as she seems not responding at all.)
EQ : Nope, I don't want to go. I want to stay with popo at house.
Popo : You still can see popo after you come back from school.
Popo will be cooking lunch for you all while you in school.
EQ : OK..but I want to follow popo.
Mama : But, you & gege always fighting at house. Will you be fighting at school later?
(Worrying & asking my twins)
Twins : Nope, we won't fight & be "guai guai". We want to go to school...

Well, not sure if twins kept them promise. But, I'm worried about their adaptation in the new environment. Wish me luck & I shall have new updates about my twins schooling stories in near future.
